Rest In Peace Malcolm McCormick RIP Mac Miller

2019 || 60” x  126” || Silkscreen on canvas laminate, ink, poplar wood

Looking forward to touring again with a series of cryptic tweets, the news of losing Mac Miller rocked family, friends and fans. The Pittsburgh native balanced his ongoing battle with his substance abuse struggles through his deep thinking lyrics and laid back instrumentals. Connecting with a fun loving nature, Miller and his fans cultivated a strong sense of reliability. His highs and lows painted a troubled yet honest man who was fortunately able to create a catalog to carry his fan base on with his Swimming album, a month prior to Miller’s passing and the heartbreaking posthumous release Circles with hauntingly calm melodies of Miller which mesmerized listeners into a state of comfort. A truly tragic halt to a bright individual, the world remembers the most dope.
